  Date of Service:   11/17/2020
  Company Contact:   Service Desk
Work Done on:   Class A - Diesel
Service Performed:   Remove Onan Generator and clean spilled oil from tray
under generator.
Evaluation of Service Performed:   As usual Campers World RV centers miss the mark, again. I
made a appointment with who I thought was Service Manager
two weeks ago, explained that another service company (mobile)
in Florida had poured lube oil into the genny case
instead of the engine. I explained, I wanted the
generator removed and the bottom tray cleaned out. It
can not be done with genny in place. Today when I arrive,
the Service Mgr I talked to is not there and there was
no understanding as to what was to be done. After
explaining to todays Mgr what I wanted done and the
agreed price, I told him to call me back to the shop when
they had it out, I wanted to see how bad it was. The
manger did not do as I asked and after four plus hours
said it was ready. I never did get chance to inspect it
as I asked. Paid the agreed price and drove approximately
ten miles and started the genny, ran but no current.
Returned to Byron, mechanic had tuned off the genny
circuit breaker inside cabinet. Service Mgr turned back on
and I was on my way again. I had asked for estimates on
two other things, Wall pushed away from support, and
removal of tube tv, I got neither and then the Svc Mgr
tried to con me into spending a lot of money on something
that was not required. He said the unit needed cauking on
the top of the Feature Strip/molding. Winnebago doesnt
recommend that. He lied and told me he couldn't remove
the feature strip because it required special tools. I
would rather he just said he didnt want to do it than
lie. The cauking /Silicone of the top of the feature
molding was obviously a cash generation ploy
that green RV'ers would fall for. Bad business practices
and poor quality control, I will not be going there for
service again.
