Heard a soft clunk when we started our '16 Ram Cummins
the morning of Oct 5, 2020. Had plans to depart for a day of sightseeing in the Colorado Springs area. Popped the hood and immediately noticed the serpentine belt was ripped, laying loose. Didn't take long to discover the water pump bearings were completely gone. Started making calls to a number of Ram dealers in the Colorado Springs area. The first two dealers I called said it would be 5-7 days before they could get to it. Made a 3rd call to Colorado Springs Dodge. They had an opening Tue. morning---awesome! Got the truck towed to CS Dodge and just happened to bump into their diesel tech, Luke, just before catchin' a ride back to the RV park. He said he had some unexpected downtime and offered to replace the pump right then and there! Woo- hoo! Arrived at CS Dodge with the truck sitting on a flat-bed truck at 1pm, drove off with my truck at 430pm! Big thanks to Luke, and Colorado Springs Dodge! |
