Adjust Weight Distribution Hitch
The distribution hitch was installed on our F-250 in
October when we bought our new TT at Campers Inn,
previously PECO CAMPERS, and made our truck bounce
like a flat-hulled boat in a hurricane. We thought
it was because it was a different type of hitch, and
we would just get used to it. Wrong!
We took our camper to Kamper's Korner. Owner Brad
Ratigan took one look at it and said he would adjust
the hitch for us. It was installed at the lowest
point (bottom hole of 3 holes), and a couple of
other things going on. He raised it to the top-most
hole and fixed the other issues. Brad explained
everything he did and showed how the hitch work with
the truck and with the trailer. He told us to drive
it down the road and back to see if there was and
difference. OH MY Yes, there was an immediate
difference. Brad asked about our Prodigy brake
controller, and did we know how to adjust it. I told
Brad that he was the one who steered us to Prodigy.
He went on to fully explain the braking system to us
and told us of some the things this controller would
do that we were not aware of. Brad, thanks so much
for taking the time with us!
