  Work Done on:   Class A - Gasoline
  Service Performed:   Generator and refrigerator repair/maintenance.
  Evaluation of Service Performed:   The owner of the one-man shop, Al Scott, charged me
$942.63 for repairs, which I paid in full. After
several requests over two months, he eventually
emailed me an invoice, which I needed to submit to my
warranty company. However, the invoice was incorrect,
and was missing my first payment of $450 entirely. He
claims I only paid $350, even though my second check
was more. I found out after he left, that he didn't
actually do the work he was supposed to do. The parts
he claims to have replaced still have an old date and
obviously were not replaced. I have attempted to get
a hold of him several times, over the past few
months, but he refuses to call me back or take care
of the bill, or the work. So, 1. He overcharged me
for what he said he was going to do, and his invoice
has incorrect math and information; and, 2. He didn't
do the work he was supposed to do. He has an 800
phone number, that I have been calling, which his
mother answers for him. (Since I complained about his
lack of professionalism, his mother recorded a better
sounding voice mail message, but no one ever calls
back and they don't answer the phone. Al's personal
cell phone number is blocked, so I cannot call him
directly. The job didn't get done, I was charged a
lot more than I should have for what he said he did
(and didn't), and I cannot file the warranty claim to
get my money from the warranty company. I'm disabled
and have zero income. He took advantage of me and I
need my money back so I can paid someone else to do
the job right, and so I can make the claim to my
warranty company. I have filed a complaint with the
BBB, and have since found out that he is NOT
registered with the BAR (Bureau of Automotive
Repairs). His address is also a UPS post office box,
so you can't call him or go to his business.
