Work Done on:
Travel Trailer

Service Performed:
ANOTHER BAD RIM, from my previous post you can see that out of three
tires, two leaked where they were pressed/welded together. WELL, this
time, on a trip to Maine, the THIRD rim leaked in the same place. So ALL of
the rims on the trailer had bad welds that allowed them to leak. This could
have been a catastrophic failure had it happened on a freeway at night. This
is totally unacceptable and I wish I knew how to complain to the NTSB to
check into this shoddy workmanship that put my family's life in danger.

All work had to be done by myself since the dealer would not help.
After having two flat tires on trip to Disney World, we returned home. The
trailer had acquired about 4000 miles on it in a little over a year. It was out
of warranty, but only by a couple of months. It was found that BOTH rims
leaked where they were pressed together. At first, the service department
said there was nothing they could do. After I posted this on FB, they said
they would replace ONE rim but I was on my own for the other. I ended up
paying $60 for a new rim to fix and extreme safety issue.

Evaluation of Service Performed:
This was a typical sales person response... "it's not our fault", "its out of
warranty", "call the supplier, not us"..... while it's true it was not their fault, in
the interest of future sales, they should have at least attempted a fix. It
would have much more weight if the dealer called the supplier and not a
single owner. I give it a fair value cause they did fix one, but quality was
indeed poor.
