After trying for several days to figure out what was wrong with my Onan 7500 diesel generator I gave in a took it to Cantwell Equipment in Ft Worth, they
are an Onan approved shop. They were up front with the fact that it would be about a week before they could look at. That wasn't a problem for me wasn't in a hurry at this point. After a few days I got a call from them with the bad news. Pieces of magnets everywhere. They said it would need a stator and rotor, they nailed down the price of parts and said about 8 hours labor and gave me a price. They needed to remove the generator from the coach to work on it. I asked while they had it out if they could replace the fuel supply line from the tank to the generator. I knew it looked iffy and I was going to replace it but thought while they were there I'd have them do it. Few days later I get a call, they were done. I go to pick up the coach and they present me with the bill. A couple of hundred bucks less than was quoted. The reason? It didn't take as long to fix as they thought. They could have easily just charged me what they quoted and I would have went on my way. They also replaced to fuel line, at no charge. They also checked all the hoses, belts and other fuel lines and said it all looked good no need to replace now. It so nice to do business with someone who is honest and does what they say they are going to do and then some. Highly recommend these folks if you ever need work on your Onan. |

Generator was leaking oil and my generator is not on a slide, so it had to be removed from the MH and disassembled to get to the leaking oil cooler hoses.
Not an easy job. In fact several RV service companies in the DFW area declined to do the work. |

Very friendly people who were able to schedule the work when it was convenient for me to take to them. They had the MH over a weekend in which it was
going to freeze and I had not winterized the coach, so they were willing to move equipment so as to get my motorhome inside their building. When it came time to pick up the coach we couldn't make it by closing time on a Friday, but Rhonda was willing to wait until we got there. |
