Work Done on:
Toad

Service Performed:
After hooking my toad to the motorhome the stop/turn signal/parking lights were not working properly. When I turned on the turn signal every light on the
back of the motorhome and toad blinked. And when I put my foot on the brake the blinking stopped.

Evaluation of Service Performed:
It was Friday afternoon. After explaining my problem with the lady at the counter she excused herself and went into the back shop. In only a couple of
minutes the mechanic came out with his tool box. Said he had been under a unit. He tested the connections. Said the one on my motorhome was fine but
the problem was in the toad. When the wiring was installed 10 years ago they ran the wiring through the toad. The mechanic said that there are diodes that
go bad. There is no way of knowing where they are located. His solution and the towing setup he prefers is to use the portable lights that attach to the
toad with magnets. There were none in their store but there was a set that used suction cups(it was used). There was a price tag $61.95. I bought the set
for $45. No charge for the testing. I set it up and was on my way in under 1 hour. Like I said it was Friday afternoon and I had a schedule to keep. I feel
very lucky to have found a friendly and honest dealer/mechanic. The solution/fix may be temporary until I find that bad diode. Happy to be back on the
road.
