Being a Jacks Camper purchaser and customer from both locations I called and made an appointment to deliver my 2012 Jayco
Eagle Super Lite travel trailer to them in Mitchell on the 13th of October for furnace repair, re-grease and pack the wheel
bearings, check the brakes and a couple other minor repairs. On November 1st I called and asked how the repairs were going
and if I could pick up my camper. Was told by the person who answered the phone that the repairs were not done because they
had to do other customers weatherizing first. When I asked when they might get to mine, I was told probably after
Thanksgiving, but if I wanted to I could pick up my camper anytime. I told the gentleman that I didnt want to pick it up I
wanted it repaired and was told "they will get to it when they get to it".
1) What is the point of making an appointment and delivering my travel trailer on Oct 13th when they werent going to get
to it for over a month? 2) Why was this gentleman being rude? Im a customer that simply called to see the status of my
repairs and when I could pick up my camper.
After mulling over the previous days conversation and honestly being ticked off for his rudeness, I called Jacks Campers
November 2nd at 10:30am to inform them I wanted to pick up my travel trailer the next morning at 8:00am. I got the same
gentleman and I stated who I was and I wanted to arrange pickup of my travel trailer Saturday morning. He told me to hold
on and he would get someone to help me. After 5 minutes he came back on and told me that he couldnt find anyone that
wanted to talk to me right now and to give him my number and he would have someone call me back. After I hung up the phone
I was flabbergasted. Why was this guy being so rude? What did I do to be treated this way?
Over four hours later I had not received a call back so I called again. This time I got Dan the parts man. I told him who I
was and wanted to pick up my travel trailer the next morning at 8:00am. He told me they would make sure it was in a place I
could hook it up and take it. He was very civil and polite. I wish I had talked to him the two times before!
On Saturday November 3rd at 8:00am I arrived at Jacks Camper to get my travel trailer. Went in the office and straight to
the parts & service counter. Told them who I was and that I was there to get my travel trailer. They were very civil and
professional. Told me where my travel trailer was in the lot and handed me my keys. They told me they were sorry they
couldnt get the repairs done. We hooked up and left Jack Campers without incident.
We took the travel trailer to another RV repair business in Sioux Falls. Got a written estimate for the repairs and was
even told when I could pick the travel trailer back up. Extremely polite, friendly and helpful. I cannot and will not go
back to Jacks Campers again which is disheartening. The Rapid City store was very nice and gave us a great deal. But
having them do the service or repairs is costly when you consider having to drive it 3 hours one way. I was really hoping
the Mitchell store would have been a good option for us considering they were only an hour away. Too bad the person
answering their phone chased us away.

Black tank handle had broken off. I was driving
through and they were extremely busy. Rather than
wait, they dumped my tanks for free and talked me
through how to replace the handle assembly, so I
would be able to do it myself. All for free.

Wonderful. For the cost of the new handle/blade
assembly, I was back in business. No down time and no
service fee. For $10 or less. Wonderful guys to work
with.
