  Date of Service:   9/17/2019
Work Done on:   Class A - Gasoline
Service Performed:   Awning replacement and scratch repairs
Evaluation of Service Performed:   We had our awning damaged in a storm on July 5th, when it collapsed, it
also made a small scratch on the side of the RV. We sought out Tonys RV,
shortly thereafter, for repairs and brought our RV out to them to complete
an estimate, take pictures, send to insurance, and order new awning for
repairs. The owner, Aaron along with an office person, Rebecca came out
and looked at the RV and took pictures. Not long after, we received notice
from the insurance company a claim had been filed, followed by funds for
repairs. We asked that the replacement awning have LED lights built into it
and we would pay any difference that the insurance company didnt.

At the beginning of September, after not hearing anything from Tonys RV,
we called to find out what the status on our work order was. We had to
completely remind Rebecca of our RV, the meeting and taking pictures of it,
etc. After catching her up to speed, Rebecca said the awning has been
there and we could bring the RV in on Sept. 17th for repairs, and that it
should be completed within the day. We let her know we would drop it off
on the afternoon of the 16th and pick it up on the morning of the 18th,
which would provide plenty of time to complete service.

On the afternoon of Sept. 17th, Rebecca called me and said the RV was
done and we could pick it up anytime. We said we would be there the next
morning for it We arrived the next morning to pick up our unit and
Rebecca had no recollection of calling me and informing me that our RV was
ready. She had an attitude with us when we let her know we were there
because she called us! Aaron joined in the conversation in saying that the
RV was, in fact, not ready because Rebecca sent off the claim to the
insurance without Aaron completing a red sheet on the work order (he
does the write up on all work orders). No one called us to let us know any of
this. He let us know that it would take another day or two to complete the
body work that was left out of the claim.

Now keep in mind. we live in our RV. We have reminded Aaron and
Rebecca of this each time we spoke with them as being displaced from our
home is a large inconvenience for us.

Long story short they kept out of our RV for 9 days! Again we were kept
out of our home for 9 days!!! We kept being put off for one reason or
another (the paint didnt match, the paint was blotchy, etc). When we finally
were able to pick it up, no one took the time to go over the new awning
operation, they tried to overcharge us by $1000, we asked for our propane
tank to be filled and it was only at 3/4 tank, and the LED lights were a simple
light strip stuck to the side of our RV (most of which is hidden by one of our
slide outs). And to top everything off, their work was messy and there were
wire trimmings all over the inside of the RV.

We have been as patient as possible with Rebecca who, in my opinion, is
inept and has no sense of customer service. When we paid our bill and
picked up the RV, she wouldnt even look at us and Aaron just came thru the
front office to assist another employee and gave us a hey, hows it going.
We really felt as though they just wanted our money and wanted us out of
there.

I spent some time wondering how to address my issues with everything that
took place. I would have sent a simple email to the owner, but since we
were actually dealing with the owner and he clearly didnt care, Im left with
only the option of leaving a public review to warn others and recommend
seeking service elsewhere.

This is a horribly mismanaged company full of inept employees and a lack
of customer service! I will never use this company again, for anything! Save
yourself a lot of money and a long drive and seek our a better RV service
company to work with.
  Value of Service:   Poor
  Quality of Service:   Poor

  Date of Service:   1/31/2017
Work Done on:   Class A - Gasoline
Service Performed:   Part warranty and part upgrades on
motorhome. Installed Tire Minder and Safe-T
Plus. Small warranty issues. They ended up
not doing any warranty work because they
couldn't get it approved because they tried to
get warranty items that were not requested
by me that would make them a lot of money.
See next section for what happened.
Evaluation of Service Performed:   I had a list of about 30 small things to be
repaired under warranty. Tony's tried and so
did I for about 4 months. Finally I was getting
pretty angry at Thor so Thor wanted to send
a driver to pick up my motorhome and take it to the
factory for repairs. I didn't understand
because they were all small items I could fix
easily by myself if I had the parts.

Finally, I was talking to Jamie at Thor and
she was arranging for the pick up of my Rig. I
was telling her I didn't see how it was cost
effective for such small items. She said the
one big item made it worth it to make sure it
was done right. I asked what big item
because there were not any. She said
Replacing the entire floor, which Tony's
wanted to charge $4,000. I'm going, WHOA,
WHAT FLOOR. she said they submitted it to
replace the entire floor.

What I requested was that there was a small
2 INCH tear in the floor, under the bed where
it isn't seen. There was a small rock or
something under it and I wanted it removed
and the floor GLUED. I told them if they
couldn't do that to just leave it and I would do
it because it is under the bed overhang
where it isn't seen unless you are bending
over and looking under the bed. Instead, they
submitted for removing all of the cabinets,
etc, and replacing the entire floor. Tony's did
not tell me about this and told me they were
going to repair it as I requested. So, my
question is, what were they really going to
do. Normally, people don't talk to the
manufacturer like I was doing and Tony's
specifically told me not to call them because
customers just get things messed up. So my
question is, were they going to even replace
the floor or were they going to just collect the
money and parts and nobody be the wiser?
We will never know because Thor sent me all
the parts and I fixed everything myself.

It should be noted that Tony's used to be
great for repairs. They did repairs for us many
times on our travel trailer and did a great job
at a fair price. Since then, the owner has
retired and the son has taken over. We were
talking to him and he said that warranty work
didn't pay fairly and he is going to "make this
place pay" and so they don't want to do
warranty work.

Work Done on:   Class A - Diesel
  Service Performed:   Rebuild blown inverter/charger
Fix dash A/C
Fix left front turn signal
Perform recall on refrigerator
Evaluation of Service Performed:   For the first time since we moved to Asheville, NC we needed to get our coach serviced. Not knowing how good any of the service centers around here were I came across this website when I searched for service center reviews. I
found all the centers near me were rated very low. When I came across the reviews on Tony's RV service I called and made an appointment. We drove the coach down and checked in. Everyone we worked with was friendly and professional. I had an extended warranty that covered the damage to the inverter, caused by a campground with terrible power drops and surges, but had no coverage for the couple of electrical problems with the turn signal
and dash A/C. While checking out the coach I was told there was a recall on the refrigerator that was covered by Dometic and they would be happy to take care of it. I went home wondering if I would have some serious billable time due to the electrical problems. However, when I was called to pick up the coach, I was thrilled to find they were only charging me 1 hour of labor for the electrical problems in addition to my deductible for the inverter. This convinced me these folks are honest and dependable. I highly
recommend Tony's RV Service for any service needs. You know I'll be back again myself!

Evaluation of Service Performed:   The people who work here are friendly and all seem happy to be there. They are very, very busy but always make time for the client. The owner, Aaron, is there, visible and always available.

The team is genuinely concerned about getting the job done, and getting it done right.

They were recommended to us by several people and we're happy we took our business there.

Good group of folks, honest, fair and talented.

Work Done on:   Medium Duty Truck
Service Performed:   Had them install a hitch on my little Ford Ranger and wire it to haul a small trailer.
Evaluation of Service Performed:   Excellent. This was not the first time I had dealt with them, and I always feel they are competitive with pricing, but what really pushes them over the top is how nice they are. This is not an RV Sales center, so they focus on fixing things and fixing them right. I know other customers who on their planned trips, make time to visit Tony's to have things checked out. Overall an A+ facility that really stands behind their work.

Service Performed:   Traveling to Florida from Wisconsin. Had just installed Direct TV receiver to a KVH S3 system, but had been unable to get it working, could not see satellites. Tony's was backed up at least two weeks, but Charlie squeezed us in about 8:30 a.m., had it working correctly within an hour. This place has the best service of any repair facility I have been to, very reasonable also. Everybody is very friendly.

Company Contact:   Charles A. Langenburg, President
Work Done on:   Class A - Gasoline
Service Performed:   Checked water heater for problem of shutting off before water heated.
Evaluation of Service Performed:   Technician found problem right off, as the problem was that someone had left the outside faucets for the spray hose in the "on" position. This caused the water to continue circulating, which would not allow the water heater to fill. The technician was very professional and explained that I should not feel too bad, as I was not the first person to experience this problem. Their charge for this service was only $23. I'm sure other service centers would have cashed in on this situation.

Work Done on:   Class A - Gasoline
Service Performed:   They came out on-site twice to fix 2 different leaks - one from under the RV (faulty water heater winterizing part) and the other roof leaks (needed caulking). Later I brought it in to the shop for battery related problems (replaced faulty battery solenoid/isolator.)
Evaluation of Service Performed:   Despite being swamped with work, their caring response to my problems was greatly appreciated. They completed the emergency work I needed done quickly and reasonably. I highly recommend them and suggest if you're in the area to give them a call ahead of time so they can address all your RV repair needs.

Work Done on:   5th Wheel Trailer
Service Performed:   I took a new fiver in for extensive warranty work, additions, and custom modifications of almost every system. Fabricated and installed bumper and wheel well steel reinforcement. Added additional fresh water tank to increase capacity from 60 gal to 80 gal. I like this kind of place because their emphasis is on service rather than sales. Sales are limited to a few used RVs.
Evaluation of Service Performed:   Excellent warranty manager. About 20 employees with wide range of expertise. They found and fixed many warranty items that I had not detected or reported. Manufacturer wanted to repair cracked kitchen counter top; warranty manager argued that it would only crack again, got approval to replace the counter top after reinforcing its support. Many similar examples of excellence. All work was top notch and completely finished. Amazing work quality. I was not impressed with their knowledge of solar electric system, had that work done elsewhere.

Work Done on:   5th Wheel Trailer
Service Performed:   Repairs due to tire blowout. Rebuild sub-floor under reefer, wheel well molding fiberglass side wall and electrical outlet wiring above wheel well. Repainted fiberglass to match existing paint.
Evaluation of Service Performed:   Tony's has an excellent service department. The repairs done to the camper were done within the stated time period. The repair made the trailer better than when it came from Manufacturer. Tony's is an authorized service center for all brands and does warranty repairs on all appliances. I prefer to have all my service done there rather than at the dealer where I purchased my RV even though they are only 10 miles apart. If you want it done right in central SC Tony's RV Service is the place to go. Because they are in high demand expect to wait for a slot. They do emergency repairs as quickly as possible to get you back on the road.
