Excellent service, great work. Their estimate was right on target both for cost and how long the work would take. They took me without an appointment and had me out of there in a few short hours. Everyone was friendly and pleasant. It was a very positive experience. I would
definitely go back there if I needed to.

Evaluation of Service Performed:
I thought I'd share a good service experience yesterday. I was looking for a local shop that didn't charge $150 an hour to perform simple maintenance and located Performance Diesel in Bakersfield. They quoted me $86 an hour plus parts. On arrival they quoted me $699 to change oil & filters as well as to R&R a leaking suspension dump valve that had been annoying me forever. The mechanic took a little while to get started on the job, but once started, he didn't mess around. Best of all - and most impressive - when he was done and finalized the bill, he actually calculated his time based upon a time card assigned to my job and punched out on their time clock (I hadn't noticed that he punched "in" when he started the job). My final bill? $150 LESS than the original estimate. The oil and filter costs were reasonably close to what I would have had to pay myself, so they didn't rip me off on that. What a pleasant surprise! I will go back to them in the future. By the way I am in no way associated with Performance Diesel nor do I have any financial or other interest in their business.
