5th Wheel Trailer
There is a lesson in this. For serious brake problems, go to a suspension business; they know brakes, suspensions, bearings, and axles - don't need to know about refrigerators, water heaters, etc. I had been to 4 previous RV service centers for chronic, severe brake problems. This company discovered a severely worn brake shoe, a broken grease seal resulting in brake shoe coated with grease, several shackles on verge of failure, one brake drum very worn, one non-functional magnet. Replaced worn or broken parts, cleaned up the grease; really fixed brake problem. Installed double shackles for extra strength and new shackle bolts. Mor-Ryde suspension had been bottoming out (I had discovered gouges in the trailer frame); they ordered and installed heavier duty Mor-Ryde rubber equalizers.
Evaluation of Service Performed:
I was able to watch the entire process. All staff were experts and were frequently supervised and/or helped by owners. Very skilled and efficient. Found and fixed all problems, replaced only what needed replacing. All parts in stock except Mor-Ryde parts. Reasonable cost; shop rate $75. I could not be more pleased.
