BAD SERVICE, UNDEPENDABLE, RUDE, DOESN'T STAND
BEHIND HIS WORK! Paul Kitchen failed to show up
for two appointments without calling or apologizing
for missing the appointment. He installed a new
water heater in my camper trailer in June (finally
showed up after one no-show); after my first camp
out a month later the plumbing leading to the new
water heater sprung a leak and flooded the camper.
I removed the drain plug, called him, explained the
situation, and scheduled for him to come out the
following Wednesday.
I texted him Tuesday night to confirm Wednesday
morning appointment...no response. Didn't show on
Wednesday morning. Tried calling and texting
repeatedly...still no response the entire day. He
finally replied to my multiple texts on Wednesday
night as follows:
Paul: "Sorry, just started a divorce. I'm only going
to be doing winterizing for the rest of the year."
Me: "Paul, you installed a new hot water heater in
my camper and it leaked...Are you going to stand
behind your work or do I have to take it to someone
else to fix your work? Not to mention that we had
an appointment this morning and you didn't show up
or bother to call to reschedule."
Paul: "Bull, I test those, when was this?"
Me: "Can we talk?"
Paul: "Obviously not, if you say my install was bad
you can f*ck off." (Except without the *)
I couldn't believe it! The text conversation went
downhill from there and he repeatedly refused to
talk to me on the phone. I ended up having to fix
the problem myself which turned out to the
connectors leading to the hot water heater hadn't
been tightened down enough and had come loose. He
could have figured that out in about 10 minutes or
even talked me through fixing it on the phone, but
he instead preferred to hurl insults, curses, deny
any responsibility, refused to talk to me other than
texting, and refused to stand behind his work.
Unless you want to deal with someone who is
undependable, rude, doesn't stand behind his work,
and thinks that he is the only person in the world
with personal problems and thinks they give him the
right to treat people badly and say whatever he
wants to them, then STAY AWAY FROM THIS GUY!

TWO TIMES IN A ROW A NO SHOW! I called Paul (P&L RV Repair) to replace
the water pump in my toy hauler. He agreed to meet me 9/11 at the RV
storage which was 40 minutes from my house, but closer to him. After
waiting 30 minutes I texted him and he replied that he was being towed but
could not come but would call me the next day. I wondered why he would
not have called me first but thought he might be having a bad day. After not
receiving the call back I called him to reschedule. We rescheduled for
Tuesday at 3:00 pm. I got off work early and made the drive. Again, I
waited and texted him at 2:45 pm and said I was there and waiting for him at
the gate. Forty give minutes later, I texted him and asked, are you still
coming? He replied saying, Sorry, had to run down to Castle Rock.
Unless you like being the initiator of all communication, babysitting an adult
and wasting time, I would not use P&L. Paul seems to think his time is more
valuable than everyone elses.
