  Date of Service:   2/3/2008
Work Done on:   Medium Duty Truck
Service Performed:   New 6.5 diesel engine, belts and hoses, thermostats, water pump, and a total of three clutches
Evaluation of Service Performed:   Mr French replaced a engine without throughly diagnosing the first, a cracked oil cooler line found out after the new engine was installed, gave me a new engine with hose clamped fuel line replacements "very professional", I was charged for hoses and thermostats not replaced, had water leeks, not properly torqued intake manifold, replaced a good clutch with the wrong type (a gas one) causing noise and vibration problems, he told me it was a heavy duty one and this sometimes is a result, my driving style and I should start off in granny gear. He reluctantly replaced the clutch with another, this one failed also, I think my fly wheel was compromised and not resurfaced per my request and or the gas one was modified to work for a short time. With all my revisits the cold running engine showed its warning light, he suggested it was probably the injector pump just another 2k, except it was recently replaced by another shop! I will never know if any or most of this work was really needed no old parts were shown to me, when asked the trash had just been picked up. Before I purchased this truck he drove and inspected it and gave it the OK. Strange things happen, but a pro with 30+ years experience knows how to get it done right the first time with only necessary work required. Question everything and get a second opinion. Good luck!
