  Date of Service:   5/12/2014
Work Done on:   Class A - Diesel
Service Performed:   Had warranty work done on a new Newmar DP, roof air and microwave replaced. Was coming from out-of-town and did not want to "hotel it" for more
than one night if possible. Spoke at length with the service manager and got everything set up to assure that I did not experience a delay. Got there and
was told to "go to breakfast and have an extra cup of coffee". Got back after 3 hours and all was done, motorhome was cleaned and ready to go. Could
not have been happier.
Evaluation of Service Performed:   Excellent, I drove 100 miles out of my way for the facility on the recommendation of my selling dealer, was worth it.

  Date of Service:   5/1/2008
  Company Contact:   Larry Thompson
  Work Done on:   Class C
Service Performed:   Rebuilt Onan 4kw generator's carburetor, R&R drain cock, check fluid levels, tire pressure, inspect belt, hoses, fuel lines, replace power cord hatch, clean and test appliances, adjust awning.
Evaluation of Service Performed:   I bought a used RV class C from a friend in like new condition inside/out. Engine running and drives like new even for its age. With only thing that the 118 hrs Onan Generator was not working correctly due to sitting and it run, but only for short time and then stopped, this is very common for carburetor engine when it sitting for months. Anyway, before I decided to bring it in I called several places, and when I call this place and talked to the owner over the phone he quoted me $150 or so to clear out the gum in the carburetor, and he said it shouldn't be expensive to fix. Well, he sounded honest to me, so I brought it in and I asked him to check out the safety of the RV by checking the fluids, brakes, tires pressure etc... while he has the generator repaired. I thought this is the place that I can trust after talking to the owner, Larry, being promised to get it done the next day. The following day I waited them to contact me, but nothing. Until the late afternoon around three, I called in to find out the status of the repair. Without my authorization, they changed all of the belts, replaced the awning leg and I was told the carburetor was rebuilt, oil changed and all the other things I asked them to do. I came in with a shocked of over $900 of charges. I was OK with that since I was glad that I was able to get the RV back just in time for the labor day weekend. I paid, took the RV and drove home, but the smell of strong gas odor from the motorhome, and the noise from the engine of the motorhome when I was driving it home is now so bad that I couldn't hardly get it up to speed without a lot of noise from the engine compartment. I stopped by my friend and we both checked and found out the generator carburetor was never removed and excessive leaked of gas out of the fuel solenoid which I have checked it before it was brand new and never has any leak, plus the cap indicator of the altitude selector was missing. I opened the RV engine compartment to check for the noises since I suspected the work of the generator told me that the workmanship is not very good. I was right, I found out the PCV valve hose was not connected back to the air filter housing breather and it was hitting again the fan. I was shocked and dismayed that all of the fluids were not checked nor the tires pressure. Plus, I found damage to my door fender and near the generator door has damaged molding with the shoes print next to it. Looks like someone has upset and kicked the door and dent it. I was very upset with the amount that I paid them and trusted them with my life driving on this RV. One thing that they didn't know that I am an electrical and mechanical engineer. I have been working and rebuiling engines all my life. Just that I am now doing other type of business and don't want to deal with this kind of work anymore. I came back and told the owner with the supervisor what I found and being naive about the whole thing, and again they told me that the carburetor was rebuilt and I have to leave the RV here so they can tear it down once again, and when I asked about the missing part of the generator... They told me simply that the part was melted when they clean out the carburetor with the solution. And when I open the oil dip stick of the generator it was dark thick and dirty with level show "add"... I asked the supervisor that I thought they change the oil and checked the oil level for me, he looked at me and simply said "you can run with low oil level like that and it is still Okay..".. I speechless... after this... I have rebuilt carburetors hundreds of times from four barrel to single and so forth.. I never see the carburetor has been dipped into the solvent and still look filthy dirty with dirt and grease on it. I wish I didn't know anything about engine, carburetor rebuilt then it would be better for me. But letting the guy BS me even thought I have told him I am in service business and I know a lot about engine repair... But I guessed he didn't believe what I was telling him. (I didn't even want to confront him and push him again the wall or embarrassing him, I thinking may be better talking to the owner myself, but later I found out they are relatives and know what they have done. I left the facility. I just feel sorry for the RVs owner whom RVs that are still at this shop waiting for the services... I knew they will get ripped off and without any work done or the safety of the RV owner when they drive it out of the shop without knowing what they have gotten into... I hope my personal report will help the new or used RV owner who will decide to come here for any type of services. I own a repair business myself. Therefore, I know very well what a bad shop smell likes. After this, my RV's engine was not running smoothly anymore. It was used to run like new when I first brought it in for the service. Now I have to take her down to do a full check up the see what else are missing? There are many things in the RV that you need to check before getting it back especially when you got it back from this kind of repair shop... I would rate this shop is "awful, or one star" and I have checked with BBB and they have no records of this shop since the RV dealer next to it is sharing the same address? I would never let these guys touch my RV ever again, not even for free...
