  Evaluation of Service Performed:   "Initially, we called Alfateers requesting RV service nearby that they thought could assist us. Thus, we couldn't have been happier with the great service and the excellent hospitality,--from our first phone call late Friday afternoon with our "challenge", to their leaving a cord for electrical hook-up so we had electricity when arriving Sunday afternoon. Bright and early Monday morning Brian started working on our coach and finished late afternoon. In the meantime, his wife, Jane, gave us some ideas of things to see and do in the area. Rather than our heading out Monday evening upon completion of doing a great job in repairing our "challenge", they said to feel free to stay hooked up and leave in the morning!

  Service Performed:   Purchased new '07 Trail Cruiser from this dealer and immediately had trouble with the large slide-out... it stripped three sets of gears within the first six weeks. The last of the three resulted in a more involved repair inside of the underbelly. Rather than unscrewing the underbelly, the owner/service guy just cut it from one side to the other and patched it with auto-body tape. Needless to say it warped and caused large gaps. After first denying that he'd cut the underbelly, he agreed to replace it under warranty but all he did was cover the gap with a piece of plastic and then spray painted it. Last October the trailer was taken back for several things, including another adjustment of the large slide, replacement of broken cables on the small slide, replacement of a badly cracked bathtub, readjustment of the bathroom door, replacement of the underbelly cover, and an annual check of the bearings and brakes. It sat on his lot for 5 weeks until it was needed for Christmas vacation -- none of the work had been done and we ended up burning up a wheel bearing which necessitated the replacement of the entire axle. It was taken back to the dealer the day after Christmas where it sat until March 13th (after missing two deadlines). The only work that was done was the small slide cables were replaced and the axle was replaced -- but with used bearings and brakes. On a short (10 mile) trip, one wheel on the new axle was so hot you couldn't touch it, so I spent the next day replacing the wheel bearings myself.
  Evaluation of Service Performed:   The workmanship was shoddy and careless, and only a portion of the requested work was actually completed in spite of sitting on his lot for 16 weeks.

We were flat lied to about a number of issues which made the whole experience all the worse.

A phone call to R-Vision (maker of Trail Cruiser) revealed that this location was no longer a dealer for them (makes you wonder why).
