I had the oil/oil filter, fuel filter, and transmission exterior filter changed, with a lube job, on my 3500 Chevy duramax.
They charged me for 3 gallons of oil, when it holds 10 quarts. Saying that down in this area there are only 3 quarts to a gallon. They charged me 1 hour for changing the fuel filter, 1/2 hour for changing the transmission filter, and in Iowa they charge .38 hours for the fuel filter, and .2 for the transmission filter. The last change in Iowa cost $112.00. This change cost $347.00. we felt that if we were with a dealership, at least it would be reputable, and have the same labor book. They per hour charges vary, I understand that. |
