| Service Performed: | Repaired large and deep rock chip in windshield of our brand new 08 motorhome. We were just outside of Phoenix, headed to Indio, when we were struck by a rock. Since the coach was only a week old, we were very depressed. Not to mention I dreaded calling my insurance company with a claim on a policy that was only a week old. We called the park we were going to stay in, and asked for a recommendation. They said to call Superior Windshield Repair; they had a mobile service and could do the work there at the park. | ||
| Evaluation of Service Performed: | We called the service, and arranged to meet the tech at the park. Since we were a distance away, it took us until about 4:30 pm to arrive at the park. The tech (sorry, forgot to get her name, but she was great) was working on a toad that had seen her vehicle sign and decided to get a small chip repaired. I've had lots of chips repaired on my personal vehicles over the years, but I've never seen the high tech equipment that this service used. The tech was a stickler for the best repair possible, especially since she said the damage was as severe as it could get without requiring a windshield replacement (one piece windshield...big bucks). She did the repair, looked at it under magnification, and then did some additional drilling and repair to another adjoining section that didn't meet her specs. All this was done in the registration parking area of the park. She kept telling us we could go into the park, and she would set up her equipment again while we set the coach up for the night. She definitely put in the effort to make us happy with the repair, and said that if we weren't satisfied, or she wasn't satisfied with the quality of the repair, there would be no charge. Now I only have two minuscule dots on the windshield, where before I had a deep ding the size of a quarter. All in all, she spent almost 2 hours fixing our windshield, and in conversation she told us she lived another 30 miles from Indio. But the time of day (now 7 pm) didn't make her rush. We decided to pay cash, rather than deal with the insurance (and possible rate increases later). The company fees were reasonable. Would highly recommend the company to anyone needing windshield service in the Greater Indio area. | ||
