Purchased a turbo boost sensor from parts department
($151) and installed myself on CAT-C7. Fault code disappeared but engine derated upon test drive. Pulled back into CAT and pulled bedroom apart (second time) for truck mechanic Brady to have a look. Surprise! Parts sold me the wrong sensor. They did the right thing and comped the (inflated $165) one hour of labor. Lost a half day of travel and had to do the job twice thanks to parts department, but could have been worse if not for Brady figuring out the part number discrepancy. |
