Just in case your in the Eastern Kansas area.
Don't take RV to Midwest RV In Ottawa. Stopped in at Central RV in Ottawa to see about some basic repairs. Super nice guy behind counter, I priced new awning material, reseal roof, couple of other small repairs. Very reasonable, acted liked he cared. COOL, found a place. We ordered parts and a couple of weeks later I brought unit in for repairs. They had it for about a week, no big deal, all done picked it up. Price 1600.00, about 500.00 more than I expected! Upset? yes, but if its done, done right, I can get ready to go on trip, fine, it is what it is. NOW, roof leaks, was NOT resealed, caulk only! Awning install was $150 more than it was supposed to be. Original estimate was for about an hour of miscellaneous work. Charged me over 2 hours, that's another overcharge of $135.00. And last, had a special to "service" the generator, complete service, oil, filter, fuel filter, air filter, start run. Turns out only received new oil LOL, maybe. Called them twice about prices, OH NO, it's all correct, we will check on awning and generator service and call you back, NOPE, no calls, drove over to talk, wasted trip, NOPE all is right with the world, work is correct. Can't be leaking newly resealed vents on roof! DUH, water on floor dripping from roof. NOPE prices is right for the awning, UH? No not what you told me, ANYWAY! Here you go. Wasted over 500 buck, nothing done as they were supposed to. LESSON: Don't take your RV to Midwest RV! |
