I purchased a 28' Dynamax from Mid-State RV in
August 2020. The first morning after purchasing it
I couldn't get the slide-out to come back in. I
called Mid-State, and after a considerable amount of
effort I was finally put through to Billy, their
expert. I described the situation and all he could
suggest was that it must be a broken cotter pin. I
told him that based on the symptoms it seemed like
it might be an electrical issue, but he insisted
that it was a cotter pin and said I'd need to call a
mobile repair technician. So I did, but
unfortunately after calling all the ones in the
area, no one was available for several days.
However, the assistant who answered the phone at one
of the mobile services asked if I had set the
parking brake, which I had not. She also suggested
that I turn off the main battery switch for about 30
seconds and then and turn it back on, explaining
that these slide-outs can be finicky on an older RV.
I did as she suggested and it worked first time. I
asked if she was also a tech, and she said that she
just answers the phones, but owns an RV and knows a
couple of tricks. So why didn't Billy "the expert"
suggest either of these things?
Billy was also the guy who was supposed to send us a
few parts that were missing when we took delivery,
including one that he broke right in front of us by
forcing the awning open. I could clearly see that
it was stuck and I shouted, "stop, you're going to
break it", and he did. But what he didn't do was
ever send us any of the parts that they were
supposed to sent.
The next issue that we discovered was that the 2006
Dynamax we purchased was in fact a 2005 according to
the door sticker, and the title, but Mid-States'
documentation and sales information all showed it as
a 2006. After climbing the food chain at Mid-State
RV, and finally arriving at Rex, the General
Manager, who promised over the several very pleasant
conversations that we had, that he would look into
these issues and get them resolved, he did the same
as Billy, nothing! He never called back despite
several attempts on my part to get him to do so.
So you might wonder why I gave them a 2 star rating
instead of 1. The answer is Nick. He was our
salesman and a very nice young man who was clearly
working hard, probably to try and compensate for all
of the flakes that he works with. He was doing
everything he could to try to help us at the
beginning, but once I got to Rex I stopped reaching
out to Nick, since he obviously couldn't do anything
more than the boss could.
The bottom line on Mid-State RV is caveat emptor!
You'll be treated like a king until you drive over
the curb in your new, probably falsely marketed RV.
After that, good luck getting anyone there to
deliver anything more than lip service.

Window awnings put on motorhome and some general
type repair work and adjustments. I live over 100
miles from Mid-State but opted to drive there to let
them do the work I needed. I have used them in the
past and so far, I am well satisfied with them and
will use again if need arises/

I can only describe what I requested since none of the
work was completed and what was said completed only 2
short weeks of picking up is again broken! Made an
appointment and left RV 3 weeks at Mid-State to have
work completed. Work requested slide leaking, water
supply line for ice maker replaced, tensioner replaced
on awning and gray tank flushed. I called after two
weeks of not hearing anything was given estimate of
requested work and told could not have completed by
requested pick-up date. Purposely left for 3 weeks so
work could be completed. Told them to complete
everything except slide and tensioner and would pick up
in one week. I asked why hadn't someone called me said
it wasn't on his list. Apparently not on anyone's
list. Well here we are two weeks from pick-up ice
maker line leaking, gray tank not draining correctly.
So my description of work done would have to be none!!
Sent email to dealership never heard a word.

Parts ordered and received quickly. The work was performed quickly, some adjustment required after several days, they
accepted responsibility and put senior tech on problem. They whisked me into shop without appointment and corrected problem
within a hour. At no charge to me.

Made appointment for the work. On arrival service manager wrote up my work order quickly and things went very smooth. I left motorhome with them for these services and the manager called regularly to keep me updated on all repairs and costs. I am well satisfied with them and what they did on my motorhome. Will use again if needed.

Generator would not stay running on the road. Problem began in September 09 when I took it in to have my generator serviced. When I got it back it wasn't working. I took my RV in FIVE times between September 09 and Aug 10 to work on the generator for the same problem. They had it a total of 57 days. I only hope it is corrected now, on the fifth time in. My RV is a 2007 which I bought at Mid-State RV. I began having problems with the power converter almost immediately, but they would never believe that I had a problem. They finally fixed those problems in 2010 by replacing the power converter.

They don't seem to be able to diagnose a problem very well at all. It also seems they like to quickly conclude that the customer is doing something wrong.

We tore our back cap away from RV and had to have it and a cargo door repaired. Cargo door needed to be special ordered so we decided to have it ordered and replaced in October as we were passing through. The cap also needed to be painted.

The work was excellent and we were treated very well. Knowing we are fulltimers, Michelle immediately started the work and dealt with our insurance adjuster. It was finished as promised and we were very pleased. We would recommend this shop to anyone needing body work done. It is up the road from Perry GA

I found that I had slide trouble 10 days before supposed to leave on an extended trip. I called Mid-State and talked to asst. service manager explaining the trouble to her. She put a technician on the line and he diagnosed the problem and got the parts manager on the line to order the parts. Even though they were booked 3 weeks out with work, when the parts came, they called and said to bring my RV in and they would work me in. Which they did. The parts were installed and the slides repaired quickly and professionally. Their techs are factory certified and know their business.
