  Date of Service:   2/11/2008
Work Done on:   5th Wheel Trailer
Service Performed:   Purchased our Dutchman Winners Circle 5th wheel from Turning wheel, then returned for warranty work. Warranty work included an axle alignment problem, landing gear blowing fuses, and slide out not working correctly.
Evaluation of Service Performed:   We had an appointment made in advance, and arrived on time at 10 am. We were glad that our RV was taken into the shop almost immediately. However, nothing happened the first day other then we were told that they "were waiting for authorization" to do the work. At 5:00 pm the shop started shutting down and people headed home without even telling us what we were supposed to do. Were we to sleep in our camper in the shop?

On day 2 a technician put a switch in the landing gear and did something to the slide out switch. We were told by the service manager that she was waiting for the authorization to work on the axle and had sent a fax at noon. She claimed that she had heard nothing from them.
We needed the wheel and tire fixed as it was not going to make it the 1200 miles to home due to wear on the side wall from "toeing in". The technician that worked on the camper sounded like he knew what he was talking about and that it probably needed to be "shimmed".

We waited in our truck for several more hours and never saw anyone come and take off the wheel to inspect it. It was becoming obvious to us that we were being jerked around on it. We spoke to other people who were there for service, and it seemed to be a general theme that customers where unhappy with the wait and work performed by Turning Wheel.

We phoned Dutchman to ask about our authorizations to get this work done and how long we could expect to wait. They told us that they were unaware of our RV even being in the shop for warranty work as they had rec'd no request for any authorizations.

When the service manager was called by Dutchman, she lied to them about what was really going on. She muddied the situation by claiming that she had used the wrong VIN number for requesting warranty approval. That explained why Dutchman knew nothing about the situation. After hanging up the phone from Dutchman, she made it clear that they would not be doing anything with the problem wheel. She went even further by saying that her technicians 'just don't deal with that sort of thing' and are incompetent. Complaints were made about the high turnover rate of employees there.

She ended our visit by giving us the phone number of the axle manufacturer, which I called immediately to locate a reputable repair center so we could go home safely. He claimed that they do not recommend any certain service centers, and that all we had to do was to choose one.
So we headed for home with a tire that would not make it safely, and of course by the time we got a thousand miles down the road it was ready to peel off. We were forced to have to change it in the dark on an ice covered parking lot in front of an Office Max store.

I would highly warn anyone about going to Turning Wheel RV centers for any kind of work. I would also advise people to look elsewhere when wanting to purchase an RV as Turning wheel takes days and sometimes weeks to prepare their RV's for pick up, leaving customers waiting longer than promised.

We intend to purchase a new coach in the next 4 years. We will be very careful about the dealership we choose based on this experience with Turning Wheel RV.

  Date of Service:   7/21/2006
Work Done on:   Class A - Diesel
Service Performed:   I had hit something in the night and banged up some of the fiberglass on the lower right front. Had the fiber glass repaired and the gel-coat redone.
Evaluation of Service Performed:   Found the staff very professional making all attempts to do the work within my time constraints. I was kept up to date daily by phone without my having to ask. It was about twice the price I thought it should be, but my insurance adjuster didn't, so, no complaints.
