Date of Service:
Work Done on:
Work was done, but not as specified. Work to repair water
intrusion was not done as specified. They originally stated that
both the bathroom vent and the AC needed to be pulled, ceiling
inspected and dried over several days, then re-inspected by
technician and customer, then re- sealed. We agreed that I was to
be called and allowed to see the unit when it was opened for
inspect the ceiling.
No call. No evidence of vent or AC removal. I followed up at the
dealership only to find the unit sitting outside and sealed.
In view of the time frame and no physical evidence of vent and AC
removal, I believe they simply removed the sealant on the roof and
installed new sealant. No inspection within the ceiling was done in
my presence (as agreed was necessary) to confirm or deny water
damage and possible mold.
They resealed the unit and placed it outside without bothering to
inform me. There is no evidence that the agreed upon work was
done, only that the old sealant was replaced with new.
They insist the work was done and want payment, but refuse to
attest to or warrant the work in writing, even for 90 days.
Evaluation of Service Performed:
Without integrity. Doug repeatedly says one thing and does
another. He is not to be trusted.
Days went by before they even started the work, I was told it
would have to dry out over the weekend. I arrived on the weekend
to follow-up to find the unit sealed against my express wishes and
our original agreement. No way to see any possible water
They refuse to warranty that work, or even state in writing that the
work was done as specified with full inspection of the interior
ceiling, and confirmation that there was no moisture, water
damage or mold present.
As a new RVer, I purchased new from them, just so that I would
have the safety of a warranty.
I would not recommend Forest River products, and I would not
recommend the Fort Myers service department.
