Date of Service:
Work Done on:
5th Wheel Trailer
Replaced my springs, U-bolts, and grease-able bolts on the rear axle of my fifth wheel.
Evaluation of Service Performed:
When I arrived, the guy that ordered the springs and U-bolts from Dexter Axle was off today and the guys that were doing the work did not know where the parts were. After some prompting from me, we finally found someone who knew the location of the parts. They removed the tires on that axle to improve access but used the typical air wrench to tighten the lug nuts when they reinstalled the tires. I lent them my torque wrench and asked them to torque to specs. When finished, I also asked them what torque settings they used on the U-bolt nuts. He replied, "I just tightened them as tight as they would go."
The shop looked like a tornado had come through - very messy and disorganized.
