  Date of Service:   7/8/2013
Work Done on:   Class A - Diesel
Service Performed:   Our Norcold refrigerator stopped working and the manual said that it could be reset one time by turning it of and on. I did that and it worked for a
while but again stopped working and wouldn't reset again. We were just starting out on a three month trip, so had to leave with no refrigerator and
look ahead for a dealer that could fix it. We were going through Wichita so I called Flint Hills and they said they could take us in on Monday
morning.
Evaluation of Service Performed:   The work done was excellent. Bill, who has been working at Flint Hills for over 20 years started work on our refrigerator as soon as we arrived and
was able to get it fixed. At first what he did did not work and he called Norcold twice and finally got it fixed. He also worked on another problem
and we were on our way in about three hours. The service was great and the price was very reasonable. We would recommend Flint Hills very
highly.

Work Done on:   5th Wheel Trailer
Service Performed:   1st work done: Trail-air leaking on one side, took it to them to have it fixed. They told me it was beyond their capability, I took it to Goshen and Ron fixed it in 45 min. Just needed to be aired up to higher pressure and fittings would seal. I pulled the trailer 1600+ miles for 45 minutes work. when I got back I confronted the owner and his demeanor was too bad.

Not being too smart when the off door slide would not come in or out straight, I made a appointment to have it fixed. The trailer was there 5 weeks and when I called I was informed it could be another 6 to 8 weeks. That's when I had enough and I told them I was coming after it. When I got there I paid for a new toilet to be installed and I asked why the spray attachment wasn't there, they told me there was no place to hook it up. Later, I bought the spray and put in my self, only had to cut off the tip of a water valve and put it on. No one came out into the shop to talk to me when I was hooking the trailer up. When I pulled out and started around the building the salesman stopped me and I told him I was very upset and could buy a trailer at any number of places but would not ever go back to a place like his with such a lousy service department. I am a business man and if I found out I had that upset of a customer, I would have been on the phone trying to make the matter right or would have tried to do what ever it took to keep a customer. When I went to the camper show the owner hid behind a curtain to keep from talking to me. Very bad dealer, would drive to another state to buy another Mobile Suites trailer, we love the trailer and will buy another one from some one else.
Evaluation of Service Performed:   Very bad, would never go back and have told other people to stay away.

Work Done on:   5th Wheel Trailer
Service Performed:   I know that we are often having a hard time finding a dealer that will work on trailers they didn't sell. I found one that has better ethics than that.

Last Friday we were leaving the Corps of Engineers campground at Fall River, Kansas. The tanks were full so I tried to dump them. When I pulled the black tank valve, nothing happened. It's always been very hard to operate so I couldn't feel if the valve separated from the cable. The valve assembly is a molded part with a very long protrusion on it so I couldn't see any movement in it either.

We left the campground and stumbled across Flint Hills RV just to the East of Wichita on Highway 400/54. (800-748-7306). They are an MS dealer. Even though it was noon on Friday, the tech went to look at the rig as soon as lunch was over. He found that the valve was moving but the seal had deteriorated, allowing all of the liquid to leak out and leaving the solids. It refused to fully seal up again. We added lots of water and flushed the tank twice. Then he replaced the valve. It now works from inside the basement and not from the side position. I can live with that. It also works far, far easier than before as the cable assembly was very sticky.

We were on the road again by 3:00 PM and that was after I flushed the tank 3 more times. Total shop charge was 1 hour labor plus the new valve.

If you are in the Wichita area, I highly recommend these folks for service.

Work Done on:   Class A - Diesel
Service Performed:   Evaluate a AC / Heat Pump by Coleman for no cooling* on stage one (30 amp) although the AC ran as though it was in normal operation. And minimal cooling on both stages one and two while on 50 amp service or the generator.

* No cooling means no change in temperature whatsoever and no condensation visible.
Evaluation of Service Performed:   Even though the problem was on the 30 amp stage one side of the AC, as I understand things, there was no attempt to go to 30 amps and test the unit. The unit was plugged into and tested on 50 amp and I was told not to expect any cooling in the type of weather we were having (98 for that day). Having had a unit like this prior I knew that some cooling should occur on stage one and I stressed this fact but to no avail. Brian the service tech blamed the problem on air intrusion or an installation problem but would not talk to the manufacturer and actually hung up on them when I finally convinced him to call. I had to call to get authorization for the warranty repair from the manufacturer. Brian then told me he found a possible air leak and repaired it. Prior to leaving I found that the work to remove and replace the AC outside protection cover was shoddy and there were loose screws. When I inquired about this I was told that when the silicone dries everything will tighten up. I decided to get out while the getting was good and left.

After setting up in camp that night the AC ran the same as before and a new problem it now would run and shut down after running for a short time it did this through the night for an unknown amount of time. Note: set temperature was set at well below the desired temperature and the shut down was not due to cycling of the set temperature.

The next morning I called Brian at 8:00 am and informed him the AC was not cooling properly and that it was now turning off and on. He told me he would call Coleman and get back to me his return call informed me that Coleman authorized a new thermostat. I said Ill be right over so he could install the thermostat. I was then informed that he was booked for that day and it would be the next day before he could see me. I then asked can I just come by and pick up a thermostat and install it my self and he stated that he was out of the thermostats. I then asked him if he could pick one up and I was told that he did not have enough personnel to go get one. I then asked if I could go get the thermostat and he stated that he would call Coleman and Coleman would call me back. I did get in contact with Coleman and picked up the thermostat at the warehouse. The thermostat was installed by me in about 30 minutes counting getting tools and noting and photographing wiring colors and connections.

Bottom line is that Flint hills in my opinion did not want to work on this unit because the motor home manufacturer owed them money. I paid for all work done.

Service Performed:   Diagnose & repair basement AC/heat pump unit.
Evaluation of Service Performed:   Superb! We were traveling through and called ahead. The RVP manufacturer referred us to Flint Hills for repair of our RVP basement AC/heat pump. A previous repair at another RV dealer for the same problem did not last. Flint Hills gave us 30a electric hookup the night before our 8am appointment. The Flint Hills tech had the unit out of the motorhome and diagnosed far faster than any previous tech has been able to just remove the unit. In spite of the required part being on back-order at the manufacturer parts department, he got them to find one, sent a runner to pick it up, and had the unit repaired, reinstalled and ready to travel just 6 hours after they drove it into the shop. They were superb in every way!
