Purchase of Consignment Coach walk through whereby DWC was to guarantee that everything was to be serviced and in working order according to purchase agreement between seller and buyer.

The consignment dealer, Desert West Coaches had one month to take care of contractual repair work but upon arrival to pick up the motor home I found that only one item of approximately 6 was fixed. I spoke to DWC a week prior to my arriving from Alabama and I was not informed that they had a problem with finding the repair parts to the generator. After a 6 hour delay, I left the dealer to drive back to Alabama and the next day the engine broke down. While investigating the cause of engine power failure, Wayne Smith owner of Mobile Repairs in San Antonio who I do recommend for superior their work, discovered that engine maintenance had been neglected for approximately 5 years! Had DWC simply removed the air filter which was clogged and rusted they would have realized the coach was in dire need of servicing, instead, they chose to listen to the seller and represent to me as buyer that all maintenance had been done!
Additionally, even after having given me a written agreement they have not paid the cost of generator repairs of $1000 which had to be performed when arriving back in Alabama.
One last note, I called repeatedly for the notified bill of sale and three times I was told by DWC it had been mailed when it was not. I finally received the Bill of Sales two months after paying for the coach by overnight mail only because the seller intervened and agreed to pay for the FED Ex shipping costs!

I bought my new 05 Phaeton and needed, thankfully only a few, warranty things taken care of. The local dealer has a terrible service reputation and another local referral didn't do very well either so I hooked up with Desert West Coach in Phoenix. They do a lot of service work on Prevosts and other high-end coaches.
